Justin and Hailey Bieber have been criticised for their fashion choices at a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte.
When the Biebers visited Macron's Élysée Palace office earlier this week Justin donned a suit with an open-collared shirt, gold chains in place of a tie and a pair of Air Jordan shoes.
Hailey, meanwhile, opted for a backless, stomach-baring dress with strappy high heels.
Justin shared an image of the foursome on Instagram, where his post immediately drew backlash from fans who felt the pair's look was substandard for the occasion.
"Can someone tell the Biebers this is a government event?" one comment read.
"With all the money you guys have you should've dressed up more classy, that's a disrespect to that President," said another.
"Who wears that to meet the President of France? That's so classless and tasteless," wrote a third.
Others were puzzled about the reason for the meeting in the first place. The Biebers were vacationing at the time and the day of their visit with the President coincided with France's annual Fête de la Musique, or Music Day.
