A Wolverine game is coming to PlayStation 5 from the same studio that made the critically acclaimed recent Spider-Man releases, Sony has announced.
The character is a Marvel Comics legend, brought to life on screen by Hugh Jackman in nine films from 2000's X-Men through to 2017's Logan, along with a few cameos in other movies.
The reveal trailer showed James 'Logan' Howlett, aka Wolverine, sitting at a bar, fists bloodied, with several beaten up blokes and debris from what appears to be a major pub fight strewn behind him as James Carr sings 'Dark End of The Street'.
Logan finishes what looks to be a whiskey as one of his foes arises and approaches him from behind with a knife, before those iconic adamantium claws burst from his knuckles and the title screen comes up.
The video suggests a more violent, harder edged and adult game than Insomniac Games' Spider-Man titles.
Marvel's Wolverine was revealed at a PlayStation Showcase on Friday, during which several other trailers were debuted and other new games unveiled.
One of them was Spider-Man 2, which features both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as Spider-Men and introduces Venom as the villain.
Wolverine and Spider-Man 2 weren't the only Marvel games shown off, either - a new story trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy was debuted during the showcase ahead of the game's release in October.
No release date for Wolverine was given, but Spider-Man 2 will launch in 2023.
Other game trailers shown off in Sony's livestream include God of War: Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7, an upgraded PS5 version of Grand Theft Auto V, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Project Eve and Alan Wake Remastered.
