Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield has been caught on camera breaking out some dance moves at a Super Saturday event.
In a video posted by Labour's Mana MP Barbara Edmonds, Dr Bloomfield can be seen taking to the dance floor at Cannons Creek, in Porirua.
"SO COOL, well-done everyone!!! Worth celebrating alright!!!" someone commented.
"He's got rhythm!!" said another.
"He's got the moves! Impressed," a third added.
Speaking afterwards, Dr Bloomfield said he had been "waiting all day to have a dance out here in Porirua" and suggested he might do so again on the television Vaxathon later in the day.
"Thanks to everybody who has done some amazing mahi to organise the day today and the great thing is they'll have to organise another one in a few weeks so you can all come back and get your second jabs."
Super Saturday has far exceeded its 100,000 dose goal, with 123,644 doses administered as of 5:20pm.
