Lorde devotees are "desolate" after it was revealed the Kiwi singer didn't earn any nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards.
The 25-year-old's third studio album Solar Power was released in August to the delight of fans after a long hiatus, but the Recording Academy apparently wasn't as impressed.
Jazz musician Jon Batiste led the nominations announced on Wednesday (NZ time) with 11 nods, while Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and HER each earned eight.
Billie Eilish, Kanye West, Tony Bennet, Lady Gaga, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift are among those in the running for Album of the Year.
Lorde fans took to Twitter to vent their despair with several calling her missing out "a crime".
"I just reactivated [my account] to express how deeply desolate and devoid of emotions I feel after the Lorde Grammy snub. Solar Power is a beautiful album and medically proven to cure anxiety and sadness," one tweet reads.
"Lorde not getting a single Grammy nomination is a crime and I will be taking legal action," said another.
"Lorde lost the Grammy for Melodrama in 2017 so I don't see why I should care anymore but not giving one nomination to Solar Power is a f**king crime," another agreed.
"LORDE DESERVED A GRAMMY NOMINATION," exclaimed a fourth.
Other fans had pledged to get Solar Power tattoos if Lorde was nominated, while one suggested Lorde was "overqualified" for the Grammys.
Lorde recently said she was “beyond devastated" to postpone her Solar Power tour of New Zealand and Australia due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
