The stars of Harry Potter emotionally reminisce in the trailer for a reunion special set to premiere in little more than a week.
Emma Watson in particular lets her emotions show in the video, wiping away tears as she talks about the movies helping during "really dark, really hard times".
US streaming service HBO Max released the first full trailer for Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts ahead of its debut on January 1.
The clip shows Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint returning to the film set and looking back on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, which came out 20 years ago, along with its hugely successful sequels.
Watson tears up while chatting with Grint in the Gryffindor common room.
"When things get really dark, and times are really hard, there's something about Harry Potter that makes life richer," she says.
He holds her hand and replies: "It's a strong bond we all have. We're family. We'll always be a part of each other's lives."
The pair then embrace in a warm hug.
Controversial author of the Harry Potter books JK Rowling reportedly won't be appearing in the reunion special, apart from in archival footage.
It's been a big year for anniversaries in fantasy pop culture. Just last week it was 20 years since the premiere of the first Lord of the Rings film, while earlier this year the stars of Game of Thrones celebrated 10 years since the hit show debuted.
