Machine Gun Kelly stopped at nothing to try and impress Megan Fox when they first started dating - even when it meant risking grievous bodily harm.
The musician, who has begun using his birth name Colson Baker again, told the gruesome tale of a knife trick gone wrong on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Baker explained that his friend and musical collaborator Travis Barker had gifted him a knife that was engraved with a tribute to his latest album, and the 'Bloody Valentine' singer saw an opportunity.
"I was like, 'Yo, check this out, this is sick'," he recalled.
"I threw [the knife] up and it stuck in my hand," he added, showing Fallon the scar from the injury.
"You know how you throw it up, and you're supposed to catch it? I looked at [Megan] and I was like, 'check this out'."
Baker said he kept it together for the rest of the evening, but sought out medical attention as soon as Fox was out of the house.
"The next morning, as soon as she left, I was like, 'yo, I need stitches real quick'."
Baker wore a t-shirt emblazoned with Fox's face licking a lighter from a famous scene in her 2009 film Jennifer's Body for his appearance on The Tonight Show. The pair have been romantically linked since May 2020.
