Rose Matafeo has won a spot in an international list of the year's best television performances by Variety.
The Kiwi comedian and actor features in the star-studded rankings alongside the likes of Sucession's Matthew Macfayden, Mare of Easttown's Kate Winslet, The White Lotus' Jennifer Coolidge - even Oprah Winfrey for her infamous interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Matafeo was praised for her performance in Starstruck, which she created and starred in. It has already been picked up for a second season.
"Technically, Starstruck is about an ordinary woman (Matafeo) who accidentally ends up sleeping with a handsome movie star (Nikesh Patel) whose charm proves too irresistible to ignore," the blurb from Variety reads.
"And yet it's Matafeo, who also created the series, whose charisma ends up burning up the screen with her effervescent performance.
"She makes it all too easy to understand why this celebrity, like this viewer, simply can't get her off his mind."
Matafeo responded to the news on Twitter, joking: "I finally made it onto an alphabetical list!" before adding "Nah but for real, thanks Variety".
