Canadian rapper Drake has been filmed generously handing out piles of cash to Toronto residents on Christmas Day.
Drake, who is estimated to be worth about $200 million, was spotted leaning out the back seat of a car and giving a stack of money to a random on the streets of Toronto.
"[Drake] giving away racks for Christmas," an Instagram video of Drake handing over the money is captioned. "F**king unreal man. Legend of the city."
The Instagram video was subsequently shared on RapTV's Twitter page. Emotional fans jumped on the thread with extravagant praise.
"DRAKE has & always will be #1 I mean really who goes back to their hood and shows love and gives people money," one Twitter user said, referring to Drake's hometown Toronto.
"Love this," another wrote.
It's not the first time Drake has given away cash. In 2019, the music video for his song 'God's Plan' showed him giving away wads of money to struggling families, as well as toys to children, scholarships to students and cheques to a women's shelter and a youth club in Miami, Florida.
The giveaways totalled nearly $1 million.
Before its release, Drake called the 'God's Plan' video "the most important thing I have ever done in my career".
