Having declared she "wasn't in love" with Kanye West after all, Julia Fox is now maintaining that speaking about their highly publicised fling in the media was a "service" she performed for people as a celebrity.
Following the couple's split after less than two months of dating, Fox shared an Instagram Story rubbishing tabloid headlines she was crying over the breakup, instead maintaining she was a "number one hustler".
Now in a new interview with The Cut, Fox says she has no regrets about speaking so openly about the short-lived romance.
"Celebrities are not that f**king important. You can tell us about your stupid f**king date," she said, seemingly referencing a blog post she wrote for Interview Magazine detailing their elaborate second date.
"We're in a pandemic," she added. "Give people something to talk about. Do your f**king service, do your job."
The Uncut Gems star also went out of her way to make it clear that West had encouraged her to talk to the press about the relationship.
Replying to a comment from an Instagram user who accused Fox of being "desperate for attention" and talking about West "like she was married" to him, the actress replied: "He f**king wanted me to!"
Despite having previously insisted she was unbothered about West's repeated attempts to win his estranged wife Kim Kardashian back - telling the Call Her Daddy podcast "he's with me now" - Fox's reps confirmed the pair are no longer together.
The breakup comes amid a flurry of since-deleted Instagram posts by West in which he switched between launching attacks at Kardashian and her new boyfriend Pete Davidson, before changing gears and begging for the mother of his children back.
