Kanye West has reignited his fury at Pete Davidson in more Instagram posts about the comedian, claiming his repeated online attacks aren't "harassment", they're "payback".
West dedicated a plethora of posts to ridiculing Davidson, who is now in a relationship with the rapper's estranged wife, Kim Kardashian. Having deleted all the posts and made a form of apology for his erratic online presence, West appears to have switched gears once more, refocusing his sights on Davidson.
Referring to Davidson as 'Skete', West shared a video of one of the Saturday Night Live (SNL) comedian's previous sketches about the rapper, in which he encourages West to "take his meds" for his bipolar condition.
"Kanye, I know you’re like, 'This is the real me, I'm off the meds'," Davidson begins in the clip.
"Take 'em. No shame in the medicine game. I'm on 'em. It's great. Take 'em… If I ever got on a plane and the pilot said, 'I just want all of you to know this is the real me flying,' I'd jump out. Being mentally ill is not an excuse to act like a jackass."
West captioned the video: "This boy thought he could get away with performing this sketch for the team that wrote this for him. This not harassment. This is payback."
In another since-deleted post featuring Davidson wearing a MAGA-style 'Make Kanye 2006 Again' hat, West wrote: "Hi Skete, you got anymore mental health jokes for me?"
West's previous tirades against Davidson, which included calling him a "dickhead", declaring "you'll never meet my children" and urging fans to "scream at the loser" if they saw him in real life, caused so much concern that Kardashian texted West to ask him to stop.
"U are creating a dangerous and scary environment and someone will hurt Pete and this will all be your fault," Kardashian allegedly said in a text message which West screenshotted and shared online.
"Upon my wife's request please nobody do anything physical to Skete, I'm going to handle the situation myself," West captioned the post, along with an image from the film Baby Boy in which Ving Rhames grips Tyrese Gibson in a headlock.
But Davidson isn't the only target of West's as of late, with the 'Stronger' hitmaker going after TMZ, Page Six and SNL - calling them a "gang" who had tried to bully, harass, control, discredit, minimise and patronise him" for years.
"They are Godless," West wrote on Instagram. "God got me and God got our family. Jesus has already won the victory. And for everyone praying for me and my family faith without work is dead. Do something positive."
"Someone always telling you you’re crazy can drive someone crazy,” he added in the since-deleted post. "That's the gaslighting. That's harassment."
Meanwhile, Davidson has quietly returned to Instagram after taking several years off to look after his own mental health in 2018, prompting speculation he may be planning a reply to West.
"The Internet is an evil place and it doesn't make me feel good," Davidson said of his social media break at the time.
West immediately followed Davidson's account, but the comedian only follows his new girlfriend Kim Kardashian and actor Sebastian Stan.
