Kim Kardashian has shared the thought process that led her to divorce Kanye West in an interview released amid her estranged husband's constant online commentary on their issues.
Speaking with Vogue, the reality star revealed she had made the decision to "make herself happy" in the last two years, having previously done "what made other people happy".
"And that feels really good," she said.
"And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it's important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I've chosen myself. I think it's okay to choose you."
Kardashian's cover story comes as West continues to air the couple's dirty laundry online, having accused her of "kidnapping" their daughter Chicago, calling her out for allowing their eldest North to be on TikTok, and in one since-deleted post, writing: "Kim accused me of putting a hit out on her."
The KKW Beauty founder discussed her approach to co-parenting in the interview, hinting at the pain she had experienced as a result of the break up.
"You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be 'Your dad's the best'," she said.
"Make sure you are your co-parent's biggest cheerleader, no matter what you're personally going through."
Having ignored the brunt of West's repeated online attacks, Karashian surprised fans last week when she released a statement in response to her soon-to-be ex-husband's behaviour.
"Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye's obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all," she wrote.
"Kanye's constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create."
