Comedian Chris Rock will perform stand-up shows in Auckland and Christchurch in August as part of his 2022 Ego Death World Tour.
The Grown Ups star is set for one performance in each city before heading to Australia, where he has five shows scheduled.
Rock's 2022 New Zealand tour dates are:
- Auckland, Spark Arena - Sunday, August 7
- Christchurch, Christchurch Arena - Monday, August 8
Tickets to the New Zealand shows go on sale at 10am on Friday, March 18.
Rock is a Grammy and Emmy Award winner with a career spanning three decades and multiple mediums, with acting, writing, producing and directing achievements.
He is regarded by many as one of the greatest comedians of all time, with Rolling Stone ranking him the fifth best stand-up comic in history.
Promoter Paul Dainty says it's "fantastic" Rock is bringing his latest tour to Aotearoa.
"He's in a class of his own, and nothing beats witnessing his genius unfolding in real time, in a live arena," says Dainty.
The promoter also issued a warning to fans not to buy from unofficial websites such as Viagogo as they risk buying invalid or fraudulent tickets.
