Ed Sheeran is returning to New Zealand with his 'Mathematics' tour next year after breaking records with his last stint in 2018.
The pop star has announced shows at Auckland's Eden Park and Wellington's Sky Stadium for February 2023, with tickets going on sale next week.
Sheeran's six-date Divide tour of Aotearoa in 2018 saw him perform three concerts at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium and three at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium.
Across Australia and New Zealand, that tour sold more than 1 million tickets.
As his first tour Down Under since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sheeran's upcoming + - = ÷ x Tour could set a new record, with more New Zealand shows likely to be added to the two announced so far.
Local promoters are warning people not to buy tickets from unauthorised websites such as Viagogo.
"To protect fans, strict anti-scalping measures will be deployed for the tour, with all tickets digitally supplied and accessible via official ticketing apps only. Fans should only purchase tickets from the official ticketing agencies," says Frontier Touring.
Ed Sheeran NZ 2023 tour dates:

- February 10 - Auckland, Eden Park - tickets from Ticketmaster
Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 23.
