Guns N' Roses have reaffirmed their commitment to perform for Kiwi fans this year as COVID-19 restrictions ease.
The 'Welcome to the Jungle' rockers are set to play Auckland's Eden Park and Wellington's Sky Stadium in December, with a new batch of tickets on sale for $89 each plus a booking fee.
The shows will feature original band members Axl Rose (vocals, piano), Duff McKagan (bass) and Slash (lead guitar), along with Dizzy Reed (keyboard), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums) and Melissa Reese (keyboard).
The concerts will be the largest outdoor rock shows in Aotearoa of the last three years, promoters say.
"This is a very important moment in time for shows in New Zealand and for international touring artists - the path is well and truly clear, now fans can purchase tickets with certainty and peace of mind," says Paul Dainty, President of TEG Dainty.
"It is fitting that one of the greatest live rock bands of all time will be amongst the first in New Zealand, with their massive all-new stadium show that they're touring around the world. It is going to make for the best ending to a year we could have hoped for."
Guns N' Roses last played New Zealand in 2017 to 50,000 fans at Western Springs in Auckland. The concert featured 27 tracks including hits from throughout the band's career as well as covers of other artists including The Who, Pink Floyd, Wings and Bob Dylan.
Promoters say tickets should never be bought from unauthorised resale scalper websites such as Viagogo, as you risk buying invalid or fraudulent tickets. Official tickets can be purchased through Ticketek.
