A new bombshell book has revealed Meghan Markle was allegedly a sucker for luxury freebies, even after marrying into the British Royal Family.

The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor - The Truth and Turmoil, penned by author Tina Brown, claims the Duchess of Sussex wanted leading lady status whilst she was in the UK.

The book says Markle had earned a reputation for always wanting designer freebies, according to The Sun.

"She won a reputation among the marketers of luxury brands of being warmly interested in receiving bags of designer swag."

The author also claimed Markle thought she was more beneficial to the Royal Family than they were to her.

The book also delves into the alleged falling out between Harry, Meghan and Angela Kelly, the Queen's dresser and assistant.

Meghan used the Queen's trusted aide like a Hollywood stylist, Brown claimed.

"Meghan did not or could not perceive the difference between the Queen's personal aide and a contract stylist at NBC Universal."

In an unprecedented move, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the Royal Family in January 2020 to live a more independent life.

Harry and Meghan are now living in Montecito, California with their two children Archie and Lilibet.
