The Topp Twins have posted an update about their cancer treatment journey on Facebook, sharing how they will finally be able to reunite.
In a post on Facebook, the twins said Jools is on the road to recovery following a week of radiation.
"Jools is resting and recovering after a week of radiation on a new tumour, and it has reduced her pain - so keeping fingers crossed."
The update said Jools is due to see radiation specialists at Auckland hospital in May and is expected to have an MRI scan done in three weeks to see if the tumour has been eradicated or reduced.
Lynda has completed her third chemotherapy session at Ashburton hospital and said the good and bad days come and go.
"It is a difficult treatment to deal with, but she has a good support team," the Topp Twins said.
Lynda has been sporting a woolly hat her mum made, which she says is keeping her head warm.
"She has another three months of chemo before any tests or appointments with her Oncology team at Christchurch hospital."
The post shared that now Jools' treatment is finished she can now travel to see her sister.
"She can now travel to the South Island, they are scheduled to reunite for their birthday in Mid-May."
The twins thanked Kiwis who donated to a Give A Little page that was set up to support their treatment.
So far, the page has raised $116,975.
Jools was diagnosed with breast cancer 16 years ago and after treatment saw a long remission period, but Jools found the cancer had returned.
Lynda was diagnosed with grade three invasive breast cancer in December which saw her undergo a double mastectomy and six months of chemotherapy.
