A royal expert has claimed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge could soon be doing a royal tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have sparked rumours they will be going down under after the Duke of Cambridge met with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern earlier this week where she invited him to come to New Zealand.
After the meeting, Arden said the Duke had a "very close relationship with New Zealand," but she did not reveal whether they had discussed a royal visit to New Zealand.
Rumours have been circulating that the royal pair will visit New Zealand in October this year after Ardern gave Prince William a Women's Rugby World Cup jersey and rugby ball, which begins in October.
"The meeting has fuelled speculation that the Cambridges are heading to New Zealand and also Australia," said royal expert Natalie Oliveri, Sky News reported.
Western Australia's Premier Mark McGowan has also invited the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to visit Perth and watch the International Festival of Football.
"His Highness the Duke of Cambridge isn't just the President of the [UK's] Football Association, he's also a keen Aston Villa fan, so what better way to watch his favourite team play than here in Perth - Australia's sunniest capital," McGowan said.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last visited Australia and New Zealand in 2014, where they embarked on a three-week tour and met up with Academy Award-winning film director Sir Peter Jackson.
