Six60 postpones Wellington show due to dire weather conditions

Six60 has been forced to postpone its show at Wellington's Sky Stadium on Saturday due to dire weather conditions.

"This was not a decision taken lightly, and shows are only ever postponed at the last minute if there is a genuine risk to public safety," a spokesperson for the band said.

"At 4pm today the wind gusts increased significantly bringing them to an unsafe level and discussions with MetService indicated that there will be no reprieve until tomorrow morning, meaning it is simply too unsafe to proceed.

"The promoter, the venue and the band have concluded that the show cannot proceed as planned."

The show will now take place on Sunday October 30 and all tickets remain valid for the new date. Refunds are also available.

"We're absolutely gutted to postpone this show, we were so excited to start the tour in Wellington," the band said on Instagram.

"All the crew, artists and staff have worked so hard to try make this go ahead, and to our fans, we understand that you've spent money, time and effort to be here and that makes us feel awful.

"All we can do is make it up to you tomorrow by putting on our best show possible, and giving you everything we've got."

Refunds will be available by following the Ticketek refund process before the gate opening time for the postponed show at 4:30pm on Sunday.

Email your refund request to online@ticketek.co.nz and quote your Ticketek transaction or account number. If your original ticket purchase was via credit card and that card has subsequently been cancelled or has expired, or you purchased at an agency, please include your bank account details.
