Review: Strange World is as trippy as it gets

The latest movie from Disney Animation has arrived on the big screen and is garnering Oscars buzz. It's called Strange World.

As trippy as it gets and entirely delightful, get your passport and get to your nearest cinema for a trip into Strange World.

With an Indiana Jones, Kong, Pandora vibe and a huge, beating, rainbow-coloured heart, this Strange World refreshes a few of the well-beaten animated tropes as we dive into the fantastical lives of the Clade family.

Living in the land of Avalonia, surrounded by unclimbable mountains, Searcher lives in the shadow of his father Jaeger - a legendary explorer - despite the fact his father went missing years before.

But a desperate plea from Avalonia's leader will see Searcher embark on a mission of his own, with his son Ethan in tow.

I was so very pleasantly surprised at just how great this film was, brimming with adventure and colour and love and a genuinely unexpected trajectory.

Terrific! Four-and-a-half stars.
