Controversial broadcaster Piers Morgan says he's traumatised after an involuntary feature in Prince Harry and Meghan's new docuseries.
Morgan, a vocal critic of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, wasted no time giving his opinion on the series' latest episodes, released on Thursday, calling them a betrayal of the royal family in an opinion column for The Sun.
The final part of the two-part docuseries Harry & Meghan covered the pair's challenges since their 2018 wedding, Meghan's deteriorating mental health and her 2020 miscarriage, and ultimately their decision to quit as working members of the Royal Family.
The series brought more bombshell revelations including claims the pair were blocked from visiting the Queen. Prince Harry also claims the stress from the UK's Mail on Sunday tabloid publishing a private letter Meghan sent to her father caused Meghan's 2020 miscarriage.
But Morgan hit out, saying the docuseries fuels a false narrative and is just another way for the pair to barrel their way into the news cycle.
"There's not much more to say about this ruthless social-climbing piece of work who played the royal family like a greedy fame-hungry viola," Morgan wrote.
Morgan called Meghan "particularly virulent" but his fury then shifted towards Prince Harry.
"Watching him publicly attack his 'screaming' brother William, inferring he bullied him out of Britain, then brand his father King Charles a liar, and even criticise his grandmother the late great Queen Elizabeth II for doing nothing to help him, made my stomach churn," Morgan wrote.
Morgan has been an outspoken critic of the couple and last year he left ITV's Good Morning Britain television programme following a row over comments he made about Meghan after the couple's bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview.
Since then, Morgan has continued to weigh in on the Duke and Duchess' lives. He even featured in the latest episodes with an audio clip of him earlier describing Meghan as a "royal rockstar".
"Putting aside what I think about her, she's becoming a royal rockstar," Morgan is heard saying.
"Bigger, I would argue as a couple, than William and Kate. That's probably not a good thing in the long term."
Safe to say, Morgan was not pleased with his cameo in the series. In fact, he said it was traumatising.
"I'm being regularly heard/quoted in this second instalment of the Megsflix whine-a-thon. I'm traumatised by this terrible invasion of my privacy," Morgan said on Twitter.
Last week, Morgan slammed the first part of Harry & Meghan, which was focused on their claims they were driven out of the UK by a racist royal family and media.
"The sad truth is that Meghan and Harry are now nothing more than whiny delusional self-serving money-grabbing royal Kardashians - only with less class, loyalty or brains," he said.
He also called it a "disgusting lie" and defended the media's treatment of the royal couple, claiming the press only turned negative after Prince Harry and Meghan's behaviour grew "increasingly hypocritical".
Netflix said the first three episodes recorded 81.55 million viewing hours globally in its first week - more than any documentary it has released ever before in premiere week.
Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace have said they will not be commenting on any allegations.
