Prince William and Princess Catherine have shared an artwork created by Prince George to mark Christmas in the United Kingdom.
The painting, which depicts a reindeer, was posted on social media by William and Catherine with the message "Happy Christmas!" and received praise from those following the Kensington Palace Twitter account, with descriptions like "beautiful".
George, who is nine years old and second in line to the British throne, spent Christmas Day with other members of the royal family at Sandringham House in Norfolk, where King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted a lunch.
Prince William and Princess Catherine also participated in a Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey that was dedicated to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Princess Charlotte was said to have "stolen the show" with a cute moment during the concert after she heard a reference to Paddington Bear.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, were not present, as they are expected to spend the holiday in California with their children Archie and Lilibet.
The timing of their recent Netflix documentary, which made various allegations against the monarchy and the British media, has been described as "particularly unkind" by some royal experts.
"The royal family will be grieving over Christmas," royal expert Richard Fitzsimmons said.
