Newshub National Correspondent Amanda Gillies has shared the first photos from her wedding day after getting married to Newsroom co-editor Tim Murphy this week.
The former AM Show host posted a pic on Instagram, captioning it simply with a white love heart emoji and the wedding date: January 18, 2023.
Despite the terrible weather New Zealand has experienced in the early new year, Gillies described the Wednesday ceremony's weather as "stunning" at Mantells Tāmaki Drive in Auckland, where the celebrant and MC was the couple's dear friend Jacqueline Nairn.
She was walked down the aisle by her father Archie Gillies to bagpipes.
"Yes, I was teary down the aisle," she told Newshub.
In the photos, Gillies wears a white corset-style bodice dress with shoestring straps paired with pearl drop earrings, while Murphy dons a tuxedo.
Among those wishing the couple well in comments on the post are fellow Newshub reporters and other members of New Zealand's media industry.
"OMG WOW!" said Patrick Gower with a love heart emoji.
"You both couldn't look more happy - or beautiful," commented Melissa Chan-Green
"Congratulations! Wishing you both all the happiness radiating from you today, every day," said Suzy Cato.
"The best thing I've seen all summer, wishing you both endless happiness," added Shannon Redstall.
"Congratulations - such a beautiful bride!" said Kethaki Masilamani.
The Edge host Sharyn Casey, Dancing With The Stars judge Camilla Sacre-Dallerup, Dr Michelle 'Nanogirl' Dickinson, TV star Jaquie Brown and Australian presenter Jodie Speers have also left messages on the post.
Gillies announced her engagement to Murphy in December, 2021.
