The Hollywood awards season is in full swing as the glitterati gathered for the latest red carpet ceremony: the Critics Choice Awards.
Voted on by critics all over the world - including Newshub's own Kate Rodger - there was a win for Wellington's Wētā FX, and it was a big night for a small film called Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Everything Everywhere All at Once pretty much won everything everywhere all at once at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards - Best Original screenplay, Editing, Best Director and Best Picture, not to mention another gong for audience and critics' favourite Ke Huy Quan.
The two big film acting awards may well set the tone for the Oscars - Cate Blanchett now seems a shoo-in for Tár but the best actor category could well be an Oscars showdown between Golden Globe winner Colin Farrell and emotional Critics Choice winner for The Whale, Brendan Fraser.
Worldwide phenomenon RRR continues its winning ways, not only grabbing best song but also best foreign language film.
In the TV categories, it was a warm welcome back to the stage for fan favourite, Golden Globe winner and now Critics Choice winner Jennifer Coolidge for The White Lotus.
Better Call Saul and Abbott Elementary had plenty of podium time. And no show is complete without The Fonz - Henry Winkler winning for HBO show Barry.
