Hollywood star Jason Momoa has sparked a flurry of excitement online after his surprise appearance at a Cyclone Gabrielle fundraiser.
The Aquaman star spoke to the crowd during Maranga Rise Up Aotearoa in Auckland on Sunday before removing his shirt and throwing it to concertgoers.
Whakaata Māori, which was one of the live broadcasters of the event, posted a series of photos to Instagram showing Momoa on stage and then tossing his T-shirt to the crowd.
Fans of his said on the post it was "amazing" to see him there showing his support.
"Love that he's out there supporting indigenous events! Tumeke," one person said.
Another wrote: "Far out he must have heaps of shirts he never leaves wearing one."
A third user suggested Momoa "shoulda (sic) made everyone donate first, then take his shirt off lol".
Other users expressed their disappointment on missing seeing Momoa because they didn't go to the event.
"Why does the universe hate me? Nobody told us he was going to be there lol," one person wrote.
"Everyone now wishing they went," another added.
Some of New Zealand's biggest names in music took part in the concert, which was free to attend although people could make donations.
Those who took part included Stan Walker, Troy Kingi, Bic Runga, Ardijah, Che Fu, Three Houses Down, Fat Freddy's Drop, Ria Hall, Drax Project, and Anna Coddington.
