Lisa Marie Presley died of complications from weightloss surgery, an autopsy report has found.
The only child of the late rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley died aged 54 on January 12.
At the time, her mother Priscilla confirmed she was rushed to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest and had subsequently died.
"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," Priscilla said.
"She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known."
The report by the Los Angeles County medical examiner's office released on Friday (NZ time) said Lisa died as a result of "a small bowel obstruction". It said the blockage was caused by scar tissue that developed after bariatric surgery years ago, which is a known long-term complication of the surgery.
The manner of death was determined to be natural by deputy medical examiner Juan Carrillo.
The report said Lisa had been complaining of abdominal pain on the morning of her death and was found unresponsive at her home. She was taken to hospital where she later died.
The 54-year-old singer and songwriter has three children, including actress Riley Keough and Benjamin Keough who died in 2020.
