On their first anniversary, Aotearoa filmmaker Taika Waititi and his popstar wife Rita Ora have released never-before-seen pictures of their wedding.
The photos and video display the humour that Waititi has become famous for - appearing in British Vogue.
It was a small, mainly family ceremony, but another well-known Kiwi made the cut for the guest list.
He might make elaborate blockbuster movies, but when it came to his own wedding production, director Taika Waititi preferred something that was low-key and no-fuss.
One year on from their actual wedding, 47-year-old Waititi and his Kosovo-born wife Rita Ora have released a first glimpse into their ceremony at the couple's Los Angeles home - making details of the intimate affair public to set the record straight.
Last year it was rumoured the star pairing was secretly hitched in London, and while Ora wasn't keen to make a song and dance of her wedding then, a year on the popstar is featuring footage of her walking down the aisle in her latest music video 'You and I'.
Waititi met the British singer four years ago, with the couple making it public in 2021 at a red carpet movie event.
It was 32-year-old Ora who popped the question while the pair was on vacation in Palm Springs in 2022, and exchanged vows in an impromptu LA wedding just a few weeks later.
There were only eight guests at the super-secret affair, which included Flight of the Conchords' funnyman and Waititi's co-star in What We Do in the Shadows Jermaine Clement.
And in true fairytale fashion, Ora managed to find the perfect wedding frock.
It was an off-the-rack Tom Ford one-shouldered lace creation that needed no alterations.
What motivated the celebrity couple to reveal all twelve months later could be seen as a publicity stunt for Ora's latest single, with Waititi's hush-hush Hollywood wedding now broadcast to the world.
