Friends star Matthew Perry has died aged 54 according to overseas media reports.
TMZ reports Perry drowned with law enforcement sources saying he was found at a home in the Los Angeles area.
The source said the actor was found in a jacuzzi at the home and there were no drugs found at the scene. It's also reported there is no foul play involved, according to TMZ.
Perry shot to fame along with the rest of the cast of Friends after it hit the screen in 1994. He played Chandler Bing on the US sitcom.
Last year he released a memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing that detailed his experiences with addiction and sobriety.
Perry said by the end of season three, he was taking around 55 Vicodin a day. He says the opioid suppressed his appetite and made him vomit.
Perry said in the book that after filming the iconic wedding scene to Monica Geller, he was taken straight back to rehab, Page Six reports.
He told People magazine last year he used drugs to deal with the fame that came with being a star.
