US punk-rock band Blink-182 have cancelled their upcoming show in Christchurch - a mere two weeks ahead of the event taking place.
The cancellation was announced in an email to ticket holders on Thursday.
"Unfortunately, the Blink-182 Christchurch performance has been cancelled due to unanticipated logistical issues outside of the band's control," the statement read.
"Event organisers join the band and fans in being very disappointed and regret any inconvenience that this cancellation has caused."
The show was meant to happen on March 4 at Wolfbrook Arena.
"I'm so sad," a comment on the event's Facebook page read.
"What the f**k is this cancellation bullshit? There better be a damn good reason," another said.
The NZ-leg of the band's reunion tour was first announced in 2022, before being later rescheduled due to fast-selling Australian tickets that saw them add four more dates to their tour leg across the ditch.
It's unclear whether there is a connection between the additional Australian shows and the loss of the Christchurch show but extra shows across the ditch were added after initial dates sold out.
Prior to news of the cancellation, Blink-182's supporting act Rise Against announced their own headline show on March 4 at Christchurch's Town Hall.
Blink-182 will still play in Auckland at Spark Arena on March 2.
