Kiwi man accuses US streamer Natalie Reynolds of 'assault' for shooting him with paintball gun

US streamer Natalie Reynolds has sparked controversy again after shooting a paintball gun at another streamer, Kiwi man Benny Mack.

Reynolds and Mack, both streamers on a platform called Kick, were taking part in a real-life Scavenger Hunt event on Friday, which was being livestreamed.

The Scavenger Hunt was organised by another streamer, 'Ice Poseidon', as a multi-day event in Austin, Texas. Participants have the chance to win a US$30,000 prize by livestreaming a series of challenges.

At one point in the livestream, Reynolds and her friends confronted another group of streamers taking part in the hunt.

Reynolds then shot a paintball which hit Mack's left arm - while he had no protective glasses on.

"Ah! Oi, bitch, that's assault!" Mack yelled at her.

"And I don't have glasses on. That's against the Kick's TOS [terms of service]," he said.

Mack then approached her and attempted to grab the paintball gun.

"Dude what the f**k is wrong with you?" she said as Mack wrestled her to the ground.

"Don't come at me with a firearm, bitch! And yes, I disarmed you," Mack responded.

She got back up and said: "Dude you're f**king psycho."

"No, you're the psycho!" Mack continued.

Later that day, Reynolds posted on X with the caption 'crazy guy attacks me after getting shot with paintball gun'. The post has since been deleted.
