A UK woman has been ridiculed online after complaining about how much her fiancé spent on her engagement ring.
The anonymous woman posted on UK lifestyle website Mumsnet she was disappointed with her £1300 (NZ$2500) engagement ring, The Daily Mail reports.

"I was so happy and excited to accept, but was disappointed when I first saw the ring," she wrote.
"The first word that entered my head was 'small'. There's nothing to dislike about the ring per se as a diamond solitaire would have been my choice, but it's the whole thing - the colour of the gold, the setting, the small stone and relatively chunky shoulders."
She later went on to say she had seen a receipt for the ring that showed it cost £1300, which she felt was not much considering her partner's six figure salary.
The thread has since been deleted, with a replacement post explaining that the woman contacted site moderators with some "real life" problems caused by the post.
Commenters disagreed with the woman, many calling her greedy for pointing out the price of the ring.
"You have basically said that you're not happy because the diamond isn't massive and he 'only' spent £1300. Sorry, finding it hard to feel that sorry for you here. You are being greedy," one commenter said.
"Marriage and a life together is about so much more than a ring, maybe be an adult and understand that a ring doesn't make a marriage," another wrote.
However others did sympathise with the woman considering she would be expected to wear the ring for the rest of her life.
"You are the person who will be wearing the ring and having to look at it all day every day. The cost is not as much of a factor by you must be happy with the look of the ring," one person wrote.
"Just tell him you are not keen on the setting and would prefer to choose another ring together."
