Two iconic New Zealand brands have joined forces to create a winning combination: Tip Top ice cream and Whittaker's chocolate.
The new Tip Top ice creams covered in Whittaker's chocolate will be available nationwide from Monday in three flavours: Vanilla and Cashew Praline, Coffee and Cacao, and Chocolate and Pretzel.
Tip Top director Kim Ballinger says the collaboration has been in the pipeline for a while.
"Our partnership is like hokey and pokey; it just makes sense," she says.
"We're both proud Kiwi companies with similar values and we're delighted to be working together to create this delicious new ice cream."
Whittaker's marketing manager Jasmine Currie has good news for fans: these are not limited edition products.
"Tip Top Whittaker's ice creams are here to stay," she says.
The ice cream is free of artificial colours and flavours, and both businesses say they are 100 percent committed to being Palm Oil free.
"With an ice cream as delicious as this, we've found it hard to be dainty and not to get a bit messy while eating it - and we encourage Kiwis to do the same. Don't worry about the chocolate that catches the side of your mouth or the ice cream on your chin, just enjoy it," adds Ballinger.
The new ice creams will be available nationwide in novelty and multipack from supermarkets.
There will also be two pop-up stores that will give thousands of the new ice creams out for free:
- Auckland Tip Top Whittaker's #Happimess Pop-Up: 21A Remuera Rd, Newmarket, Auckland. 22 September from 12pm
- Wellington Tip Top Whittaker's #Happimess Pop-Up: 142 Lambton Quay, Wellington. 27 September from 12pm
