A young Kiwi designer got a shock on Thursday morning when she woke up to a images of supermodel Gigi Hadid wearing her designs.
Courtney Pellow designed the grey patchwork pants Hadid was sporting in a Vogue article entitled 'Gigi And Anwar Hadid hit Milan in matching patchwork pants'.
Photographers captured images of the famous model arriving with her brother, in time for Spring 2019 runway shows in the renowned fashion capital.
On the second day of Milan Fashion Week, Hadid was spotted in another design by Pellow.
The cropped jeans were printed in a custom white camouflage design based on native New Zealand bush.
"I just thought it was completely unreal," Pellow told Newshub.
"It took a few hours for the enormity of the exposure to kick in."
Hadid styled Pellow's hand-made, upcycled, gumboot sock pants with a Chanel handbag, Prada sneakers and a fitted black zip-neck fleece tucked into the pants, making them the focal point of the outfit.
"I was so happy to see the hard work I've put into my brand over the last year pay off in such an epic way," Pellow said.
The AUT gradate got her start on K Road. She specialising in unisex designs, using recycled New Zealand woollen blankets and denim.
