Uber Eats is celebrating its first birthday in Wellington, and new stats released by the food delivery company have revealed some interesting dining habits from their first year.

While everyone's first thought of a hungover morning feed is some sort of greasy fry-up, things are a little classier in the capital. The most popular weekend hangover dish is the King Salmon bagel from Best Ugly bagels; a mix of cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers.

Other Uber Eats secret stats were revealed. The largest order was a spread worth $494 from Chow while the smallest was a singular pack of ketchup from McDonalds.

Wellington's hungriest customer ordered from Uber Eats 21 times in one week and the fastest delivery took 4.5 minutes from McDonald's Petone.

And proving loyal to their Welly on a Plate reputation, burgers were the most popular meal ordered overall.

Uber Eats NZ Country Manager Andy Bowie says "from banquet sized orders to one single sachet of ketchup from McDonald's Newton….   in the last year we really have catered for all food needs across the capital, big and small!"

Uber Eats is now available in Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington, Hamilton, Christchurch and Dunedin. There are now more than 1,200 restaurants on the Uber Eats app across New Zealand.
