It's the festive season and that means it's party time!
Dance for Abilities is a Kiwi owned organisation which runs social events for the intellectually disabled community in Auckland and Sydney's best hot-spots.
On Saturday, Ellerslie Racecourse will host Dance for Abilities (DFA)'s biggest event yet, with more than 400 people with intellectual disabilities expected to attend.

There will be fascinator stations, runway walk-offs, special guests, dance-offs and a few horses to set the day alight, says Daniel Hopkirk, DFA director.
Hopkirk started the NFP with his brother, after seeing how their sister with Down syndrome "didn't get the opportunities to go out and enjoy herself as we did".
"The events are going from strength to strength with over 350 people at the last event".
Hopkirk says their vision is to host events for those with intellectual disabilities "in the same venues that we would all attend on a night out", whilst catering to the specific needs of guests with the likes of hyper-sensitivity to noise, sound and dietary requirements.
"We are ecstatic that Ellerslie racecourse has come on-board to host the Fashions on the Field event which is sure to be an action-packed day with a number of smiles for all in attendance."
Dance for Abilities is a not-for-profit organisation so in order for the event to take place, the team need to raise at least $15,000 to pay for all guests in attendance.
