As part of the royal festive tradition, Meghan Markle must get used to not being allowed to open her own presents on Christmas.
Ever since her marriage into the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex has had to change some aspects of her daily life, such as diet and fashion choices.
According to the British royal family's official website, the family opens presents together on Christmas Eve, instead of Christmas day itself, during afternoon tea.

"On Christmas Eve, the royal family lay out their presents on the trestle tables and will exchange their gifts at teatime," the website states.
Royal members are only allowed to receive presents that cost £150($NZ 287) or less, and all presents have to be recorded by the books.
Former royal chef Darren McGrady said this tradition stems from the Royal Family's German heritage.
"The royals are of German descent, so they weave in German traditions to their celebrations," McGrady told the Express.
The Queen, along with other members of the royal family, will attend the morning service on Christmas Day at St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham - a country church dating back to the 16th century.
All members of the royal family will be receiving Christmas gifts personally handed over by the Queen at the royal household at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.
