Newshub's definitive Christmas gift guide: Gifts for millennials

With December underway and everyone beginning to panic about what to do buy their loved ones, do not fear! In this new series, Newshub has put together a definitive list of pressie ideas - from the budget to the bougie - to help you on your way.

Today's recipients? The millennials in your life, whether they be friends or family, or that niggly Secret Santa recipient.

1.        Gin-filled Christmas baubles

The Christmas tree decorations which will help you get a nice buzz on during that conversation with your aunt about not bringing home a boyfriend for another year. These 'Gingle Bells' baubles are filled with different kinds of gin, so you can hang them on the Christmas tree and crack into them whenever you like! Flavours include Finger Lime, B'Lure Butterfly Pea Flower, Wattleseed, Snow Chrysanthemum, Wild Hibiscus and Pepperberry. Top hint: you can buy Gingle Bells baubles on GrabOne, for a cheaper price than if you buy directly from the Gingle Bells website. RRP$89 including delivery.

2.        Millenial-themed Christmas decorations

While we're on the Christmas bauble buzz, you can't go past these millennial-themed decorations, which include all the hallmarks we in our mid-20s are known for. There's even an avocado on toast bauble, for the millennial in your life to enjoy if they've given it up while trying to save for a house (amirite baby boomers?).

The tiny almond milk, of course, caters to both the vegan and paleo market.  These little gems start at as little as $10, so they're great for Secret Santa at your youth-filled work place as well.

3.        Barbie X PUMA activewear

This is one collaboration I'm particularly excited about. Barbie and her signature pink style have ruled the fashion world since 1959. Now, the 11-inch icon is adding a new item to her closet: the PUMA Suede, designed in honour of the recent PUMA Suede's 50th birthday. Think activewear adorned with pinks, bows and that classic Barbie font. The laces especially are something to behold.

PUMA x BARBIE will be available worldwide online from December 6.

4.        Float-e pool floats

We all have that one friend with a pool we take advantage of, and now you can say thank you with a pool toy that you too can play with! (See how it works?) There's an inflatable pizza slice, a rosé bottle, a red rose that you can play The Bachelor with.

My personal fave is the inflatable champagne bottle. Here is a girl hugging it that's not me. Prices start at around RRP$41.

5.        Vegan cheese cookbook

Millennials make up nearly half of the current vegan population. For many people, the hardest part of going vegan is giving up cheese - it's basically the number one reason why I haven't considered it. This fun cookbook teaches you how to make vegan cheese that doesn't suck. If you know a vegan who really gets sad over a grazing platter, this cookbook will make their day (and save them a tonne of money, because store-bought vegan cheese is particularly expensive). RRP$17.19 or $11.56 on Kindle.
