The course of true love never did run smooth, and one man now has the ink to prove it.
The American man got a tattoo branding himself a "liar, cheater and manipulator" to earn back his wife's trust.

He and his wife visited Artistic Impressions tattoo parlour in Texas to get his interesting ink.
The tattoo, in a font similar to Comic Sans reads "I, Jose L. Torres, am getting a tattoo voluntarily on January 2, 2019 so that I can earn my wife's trust back for the pain and suffering I have caused in our marriage.

The artist,Jorge Araguz, spoke to Newshub about the experience, saying when the couple came into the studio "they didn't look angry or anything, but the husband looked really ashamed".
"He wasn't happy or sad; I would say he felt more guilty. Every time I asked him if he really wanted it done, his answer was 'I f***ked up, I must do it.'"
Incredibly, according to Mr Araguz, the man was "kind of happy" at the end of the session.
When Mr Araguz commented that the man's wife looked like a good woman, he replied "she is still here with me".
