Asian-fusion restaurant chain Wagamama has announced it is closing all of its New Zealand shops.
A post on Wagamama's website said the franchise is shutting down its restaurants, although it hinted at the possibility of returning in the future.
"We are very sorry that our time in New Zealand has, for now, come to an end. We'd like to raise our chopsticks and thank all our loyal customers who have visited us at Wagamama New Zealand over the years.
"We hope one day to be back on your shores."
Wagamama is a British chain restaurant with branches all over the world, including the United States. Its first store opened in 1992 in London.
