As she walks the runway, other models attempt to keep in role and not be distracted by the cheeky prankster, who eventually walks to the side and towards Hadid.
After briefly posing, Benoliel confronts Hadid for an intense staredown, before the supermodel grabs her shoulder and pulls her offstage.
The comedian's stage name is "Marie s'Infiltre" and inspired by the word infiltrate, making her latest stunt true to name.
The Guardian reports a Chanel spokesperson as saying Benoliel had taken them by surprise, but it wasn't the first time she had done this.
"We are not going to make a drama out of it," the spokesperson said.
"We would have preferred if it hadn't happened."
The woman was "escorted to the exit by our security personnel afterwards".
Benoliel told The Guardian that being a Chanel muse had always been her dream. But she was stunned by Hadid's response.
"Gigi was quite nervous and reacted quite aggressively to me. She clearly did not understand my comic approach. At some point, I thought she was going to pull my hair and yell as if we were schoolgirls.
"Gigi is obviously sublime and a fashion icon. I understand her reaction somewhat and continue to love her in spite of that."
Video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
