There's no place like home - and one Michigan boy invited his entire kindergarten class to watch him find his.
Michael Orlando Clark Jnr was adopted into his foster family on Thursday morning. He was so excited for the adoption hearing he invited all of his friends to come and watch him.
The class sat in on the hearing, waving little heart signs and declaring their love for their friend.
Each of the classmates introduced themselves to the Judge and told her why they were there.
"Michael is my best friend!" said his classmate Steven.
Judge Patricia Gardner told ABC affiliated news channel WZZM the support Michael received was "incredible".
"Sometimes their [adopted children] journeys have been very long, they've included change for the children and family and incredible community support as you're able to see today in Michael's adoption hearing," she said.
"His whole kindergarten class being here to say 'we love you' and 'we support you' and 'we'll be here not only today but all years in the future.'"
Michael was one of 36 children who were adopted in Kent County on it's 23rd annual Adoption Day, reports WZZM.
The event is organised by the Family Division of the Circuit Court.
