A new Gwyneth Paltrow candle called 'This Smells Like My Vagina' has sold out within a few hours of its recent release.
The candle, which costs NZ$113, is described by the The Avengers' star's page as "funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent". The candle allows users to experience "fantasy", "seduction" and a "sophisticated warmth".
According to the 47-year-old celebrity's website GOOP, people will need to join a waitlist to purchase the sold-out candle.
The candle was designed by perfumer Douglas Little, who focuses on natural essences.
The scent is made with geranium, citrusy bergamot and cedar, with Damask rose and ambrette seed.
However, reviewers say the candle does not smell like a woman's genitals.
"It smells like a vagina if you've only ever been exposed to the concept through tampon commercials. This is very much a conceptual vag," wrote The Cut's fashion writer, Sarah Spellings.
This is not the first time that Paltrow has sold an unusual approach to health or started a strange wellness trend.
One of Paltrow's unusual health tips advised women to steam their vaginas. In 2018, model Chrissy Teigen shared a photograph of herself undergoing the treatment.
In August 2019, doctors were forced to warn women against steaming their private parts after a 62-year-old Canadian woman suffered horrific burns.
