A California influencer who filmed himself licking a toilet seat in a horrendous online prank has revealed he's now in hospital with COVID-19.
The TikTok personality, who goes by the name 'Larz', reportedly posted a video of himself in a hospital bed in a now-deleted tweet.
"I tested positive for coronavirus," the 21-year-old from Beverly Hills captioned the post, according to the Daily Mail.
Earlier this week, Larz posted a shocking video of himself licking a toilet seat, captioning it: "RT to spread awareness for the coronavirus."
It was one of a series of horrifying online pranks, kicked off by fellow TikTok user and Instagram model Ava Louise who filmed herself licking a toilet seat on a plane.
She called the act the "coronavirus challenge".
In the now-deleted video Larz posted from hospital, he reportedly told followers he was "pretty hopped up on meds" following his diagnoses of the deadly disease.
The influencer has been slammed by many, including UK broadcaster Piers Morgan who dubbed Larz "scum".
"If you behave in such a reckless, moronic, selfless manner, karma will catch up with you," said the Good Morning Britain host on Wednesday (local time).
"I don't take any pleasure, I don't wish illness on people, but this has got to stop. These acts of reckless stupidity."
At the time of publishing, over 21,000 people worldwide have died from the COVID-19 pandemic.
