If you consider yourself a bit of a limbo champion and haven't been able to show off at parties thanks to multiple lockdowns this year, we've finally got the sports event you've been waiting for.
New rideshare service DiDi is hosting a limbo competition in Western Springs on Monday evening, giving people the chance to show off their ability to get low.
With an appearance from influencer and ex-rugby star Johnny Tuivasa Sheck, competitors and spectators are encouraged to show up at Ponsonby Rugby Club’s outer field from 6:30pm.
There's a pretty good incentive: the lowest limbo goer will take away a year's worth of free rides from the rideshare service, while Auckland eatery Lowbrow will be giving out vouchers for free sandwiches and sides. We'd recommend you start stretching now.
The promotion is running alongside DiDi's New Zealand launch on Monday.
Claiming to be priced up to 10 percent lower than comparable services, the app - which already operates internationally - is hoping to take on the likes of Uber, Zoomy and Ola in the Auckland rideshare market.
