If you've been eating your way through a lot of chocolate to cope with New Zealand's latest COVID-19 alert level 2 and 3 lockdowns, this will be welcome news.
Kiwi chocolate company Whittaker's announced on Wednesday it's bringing back its cult favourite Hundreds and Thousands block, for a limited time only.
Replicating the famous Griffins' biscuit, the flavour sold out in record time when it was first released in 2014, with supermarkets opting to limit sales among "unprecedented high demand".
Now it's back and Whittaker's say it's made to the same recipe: 28 percent cocoa white chocolate, mixed with crunchy biscuit pieces and sprinkles.
Co-Chief Operating Officer Holly Whittaker says the flavour obviously found a special place in the hearts of Kiwis.
"We often get requests to bring back limited edition flavours, but Hundreds and Thousands is by far the most requested product of all time, even sparking an online petition last year calling for the flavour's return," she said.
"We're delighted to be able to bring it back once more for a limited time in response to the ongoing requests from our Chocolate Lovers over the past seven years."
She added that given the popularity of the flavour last time around, more is being produced for this release - but it's still a limited-edition product.
The Hundreds and Thousands block will be available from supermarkets on Monday, February 22 for as long as stocks last.
