A woman in the United States was left in hysterics after suffering a photo editing fail after getting her passport photo taken.
TikTok user Katie Fiore wore her hair up in a large bun for the photo but was told by staff at US pharmacy Walgreens it was too big for the image.
The clip Fiore posted first shows her hair piled in a bun on the top of her head before she moves to reveal the edited passport photo.
Instead of asking her to take her hair down, staff edited her bun out of the image, leaving her unrecognisable to friends and family.
"Wore a bun to get my passport pictures but they said it was too big," Fiore explained. "They just had to cut it off."
She doubles over laughing about the photo fail, which has been viewed over 500,000 times on TikTok since it was posted last week.
But the mishap has entertained many people online, with one person joking she "went from Katie to Kyle".
"I'm sorry about how hard I laughed at this," one commented.
Another wrote: "This made me cry! Passport photos are the worst."
"Why would you wear a bun for a picture that's going to last at least 10 years?" a third asked.
One commenter said they suffered a similar dilemma when staff told her she couldn't have her hair on her shoulders after she tried to take her bun down.
Fiore said she didn't know the photos would be edited and was unaware of the 'haircut' she'd received until the images were printed out and given to her. But she confirmed she was able to get another photo taken after seeing what had been to her hair.
