Resene consultant Murdo Shaw talks about what to consider when painting in winter.
He told Magic Talk's The DIY Experts hosts Hamish Dodd and Stan Scott when working on exterior projects prepping in advance will help make the most of optimum painting conditions.
"In cooler weather, it’s not just paint that takes longer to dry it's also your fillers and your primers," Murdo says
Because paint takes longer to dry in cooler weather Murdo says it is a great time to paint your interior ceilings. "You can concentrate on application," he says. "You don't have to battle with trying to keep a wet edge."
