A Kiwi toddler's foul-mouthed response to a goat in her mother's back garden has gone viral.
Christchurch mum Sophie Smith was at home with her two-year-old daughter Ivy when she noticed the stray goat out her window.
Using her phone to record, she exclaimed "it's a f***king goat!".
Her toddler quickly picked up on the message repeating "it's a f***king goat!".
Smith quickly tried to dissuade her daughter's foul-mouthed mimicry, saying "it's just a goat".
But it was too late - "no, it's a f**king goat" Ivy replied.
Smith told Stuff she had shared the clip of her daughter on another social media where it gained traction, before uploading it to video-sharing app TikTok, where it exploded.
The clip has racked up more than 5 million views.
Smith says many people have been supportive of the video, saying it gave them a good laugh - but others - mostly other mums - criticised her for swearing in front of her child.
"If anybody says that they've never sworn before... have a goat come into your property and then tell me otherwise," she said.
