Wedding speeches can be tear-jerking at the best of times, but one US man's incredible declaration of love for his brother and new wife has left countless internet users in tears.
Newly married couple Jonah and Maddy Waldron posted emotional videos on their TikTok of the moving speech from Jonah's autistic brother Sam, who can be seen shaking in the clip as he rose to give a speech that left not a dry eye in the house - or the comments.
"Hello everyone. My name is Sam Waldron - best man to the best brother I could have ever asked for," Sam began his speech,
"My brother Jonah has been there for me my whole life. He is my best friend, he is my hero.
Sam went on to say while he was "honoured" to be best man, he was "also terrified".
"You see I have autism [which] can make me terribly scared to interact with people, let alone give a speech in front of 170 of them for Pete's sake!" he joked, to laughter and applause.
He said his brother was "the one person in the world" he would do it for, and threw in several hilarious jokes, including that Maddy had married "the second most handsome Waldron".
In a direct address to his new sister-in-law, Sam said: "For me personally Maddy you know sometimes I can get very uncomfortable and nervous around many people".
"I have never been that way around you. You give me peace [and] you bring peace to all those around you."
But the tears really began flowing from everyone as Sam addressed his brother.
"Jonah, growing up as your little brother you never looked down on me. You lifted me up, you looked out for me, you always reminded me that being different is a strength, not a weakness," he said.
"When I was in school, having you as a brother made my life easier. With all my struggles in school you were always there for me [and] you helped me find my place.
"To this day you support me, you listen to me, and I am so proud of you and Maddy."
Sam received a full standing ovation from all the wedding guests, and the clip, captured by photographer Ross Kyker, has since gone viral, racking up over 3 million views and over 400,000 likes on TikTok.
Emotional viewers took to the comments to say they'd been left in tears.
"I'm crying in my bathtub. He's our brother now," one person wrote.
"Sam you are everyone's best man. Your heart is beautiful and your soul is amazing," penned another.
Others with autistic friends and family thanked the couple for sharing Sam's amazing expression of emotion.
"My little brother is autistic and this just melted my heart. I love this - congratulations!" wrote one woman.
"My son was just diagnosed with autism so this hits different. So brave, so beautiful," wrote another.
"As an 'autism mum' I'm a curled up in a ball crying with tears of joy," added another.
