A UK Mcdonald's customer has given new meaning to the term 'free the nip', revealing that while he's happy to eat the body of a pig, he'll draw the line at its nipple.
According to 7 News, 27-year-old Sion Robinson went to his local McDonald's for his regular "cheeky treat" - a bacon roll.
But before tucking in, Robinson says he quickly briefly checked to see how many slices of bacon were inside the roll, only to find what he believed to be a pig's nipple protruding from one of the rashers.
He was so shocked, he drove home to show his mum what he'd found before taking pictures and complaining to the fast-food chain's UK-based head office.
"To open it up and to find that was revolting," Robinson told The Sun.
"It has put me off meat entirely. So much so I'm considering going vegan now."
He said he chose not to eat that part of the bacon, but did eat the rest of the roll.
But a McDonald's spokesperson told the Sun they believed Robinson was "mistaken".
"We use back bacon in all of our bacon rolls and due to the location that this cut is taken from, we are confident this customer is mistaken in his claim," their statement reads.
"We understand the customer is liaising with our Customer Services Team who are offering further assistance."
