It's best to do your prep as far in advance as possible to get the exterior surfaces ready for painting. Murdo recommends using Resene Moss & Mould Killer to kill all the lichen, moss, mould and spores.
When painting, Murdo says to "start from the top and work your way down" to avoid any unwanted streaks and patterns from overlapping paint coats.
